Commissions

I am able to offer the service of producing an individual piece, or pieces of sculpture to meet your personal requirements. Whether it is something small for interior display, a larger sculpture for a foyer or corporate site, or an external work for siting in a garden or natural landscape. I can produce something unique to fulfil specific criteria.

An informal chat to discuss your requirements, followed by an on-site meeting to talk about specifications and siting is normally required. If there is a particular time scale this has to be factored into the manufacturing process. Prices are all individual and take into account the time taken to produce work, and availability of suitable raw materials specific to the project.

Anything seen in the gallery on this website can be reproduced. However, no two pieces are ever exactly the same, but can be made to a similar design. For instance, a difference in size or material may be a requirement.

Please telephone me on 07624 496768 or e-mail me to make any enquiries.

Press Releases & Exhibitions

"Manx Independent - Friday, June 5, 2009"

"Simon Capelen, who has been at the studio for two years, encourages visitors to feel his work, including At the Centre, made from a tree that came down in a storm three years ago, pyrite and bog oak which is about 2,000 years old."

'It's quite nice for someone to want to touch it and feel its smoothness and surface finish, I get told off in museums for touching the displays - I don’t realise I've done it" - Simon Capelen.
